Action no. 9. Incorporation of Patio de la Contratación to
the Alcázar sightseeing tour.
The main goal is the incorporation of the Patio de la Con-
tratación (Plaza de la Contratación No. 3) to the sightseeing tour
with access from the Sala de los Abanicos, adjacent to the Mili-
tary House.
The request for use should be performed, for sightseeing tour from
the Alcazar, of the Patio de la Contratación, to the corresponding
Department of the Junta de Andalucía, owner of the current build-
ing.
Action no. 10 Incorporation of the María Inmaculada
Day Nursery to the Alcázar and change of use for the
interpretation centre of the Alcázar gardens
The project to materialize the Nursery School is drawn by Juan
Talavera y Heredia in 1932 on a pre-existing reinforced concrete
building that served as garage of the Alcázar between 1916 and
1928.
The Nursery School was inaugurated in 1937, and its current use is
the María Inmaculada Day Nursery, dependent on the Ministry for
Equality and Social Welfare of the Junta de Andalucía.
The objective of the action is the recovery of this building to use it
to create an Interpretation Centre of the Alcázar Gardens.
The action consists in changing the current use of the building,
through its adaptation and expansion for the new socio-cultural
use. Likewise, the action involves the demolition of the wall sepa-
rating the plot from the gardens of the Alcazar, and the archaeo-
logical excavation of the plot areas in which the implementation of
extension works is contemplated.
The change of use involves the recovery of the building, on the
hand of the municipality, for which the Junta shall be proposed to
location of the day nursery in another municipal building of the
Historical Center, the closest to the present one.
Action no. 11. Demolition of buildings located in the no.
1A and no. 1B of calle Dean Miranda, and implementation
of new construction for workshops of archaeology and
restoration of the Alcázar
The action involves the demolition of the existing building, with
current residential use, located in the No. 1A and No. 1B of Calle
Dean Miranda, adjacent to the Patio del Prícipe, and the construc-
tion of a new building with socio-cultural use, for the location at
the same of workshops of archaeology and restoration of the Al-
cázar, adding the plots to set of the Alcázar.
The integration of the new building in the enclosure of the Al-
cázar will be performed, firstly, due to safety reasons, and sec-
ondly, to provide the Alcázar with areas for development and
scientific studies of the same.
Due to the current use of the building and its aesthetic qualities,
it is contemplated to replace the current building and to imple-
ment a new building in accordance with the intended use and its
location

exhibition hall.
As a result of the creation of the Interpretation Center of the Al-
cázar Gardens in the plot of the former Nursery School, which in-
cludes in its uses program the location of a Bar-Cafeteria, the Plan
proposes the conversion of the current cafeteria to a new use of
exhibitive nature.
